Saturday 17th April - Final Craning In

The final craning in for the remainder of the boats still ashore will take place this Saturday. The dismantling of the fencing and tidying of the yard is scheduled for the following Saturday 24th  at 1000 hrs  A good attendance for this would be greatly appreciated.  Anyone returning trailers to the yard should try to be there.

Whiteness Head Sunday 18th April 1300 hrs

Dinghy sailing starts at Whiteness on Sunday 18th at 1300 hrs.

Race Marks -  First race 1st May

All the Race Marks have been re-laid in anticipation of the first race due on the 1st of May. With the exception of the North Buoy, they are more or less in the exact same positions as last year. We would really like to get the Race Season off to a flyer, with as many participants as possible.  It is not the winning but the taking part that is the most important factor.  Test yourself, test your boat, test your crew.  Refreshments ashore afterwards.

New Harbour Master

Congratulations to Robbie Barron for becoming our new Harbour Master.  We wish him well in his new post and look forward to working with him.

Power Boat Courses

The first day of the Level 2 Power Boat Training starts this Sunday 18th at 0900 hrs at Whiteness Head.  Those taking part have been informed.  If you have been disappointed in not obtaining a place don't despair we hope to run further course at a later date.

Bar Opening

The Bar will be open this Friday 16th at 8 pm. We require volunteers to help operate the Bar and Linda will be circulating a list shortly.  Robbie Czaja will run further training courses for those wishing to do Bar Duties.

Kind regards

Robert Gordon
