February's question:

Q: I have heard that the club has a library. How does that work then?

A.The club has an extensive library of sailing related books and they are available free to members for loan. The library is located in the clubhouse and members can access either on Friday nights or by using their own key, available to members with five pounds deposit. We ask that the lending book is filled in and that books are returned within a reasonable time.

December's questions:

Q: Can ordinary members attend the clubhouse on Friday nights and what actually goes on up there?

A: No member is just ordinary! You are all special and so are very welcome to drop in on a Friday evening, where you can meet other members and help put the world to rights. Just key in the security number from your handbook and let yourself in, or just turn up and ring the doorbell. You will be warmly welcomed by all.

Q: I don't own a boat but am interested in sailing. Can the club help?

A: Many club members with boats find themselves short of crew and if you are accommodating and willing to crew you should have no problem with getting out on the water. There are courses and lectures to attend (2008 details to follow shortly) so you can build up your experience and knowledge and be a more effective crew member.
